Change of Nationality

A new passport means the immigration record needs updating, or later applications will not match.

When a resident acquires a different nationality, the immigration record has to be amended so the file matches the new travel document. Until it is, applications made against the old details can be rejected for a mismatch that is easy to prevent.

We prepare the amendment with the new and previous passports, submit it and confirm once the record reflects the correct nationality.

Documents Required

  • New passport original and copy
  • Previous passport copy
  • Current residency and Emirates ID copy
  • Sponsor documents
